The Problem

Booking a trip should feel exciting — instead it's exhausting. Endless listings, uninspiring grids, and prices that jump at checkout push travelers to open ten tabs, compare endlessly, and abandon the booking entirely.

Problem statement

How might we help travelers discover stays they'll love and book them confidently — without decision fatigue or price surprises?

What testing changed

Iteration 1

Users wanted the total before committing to the booking screen. → Surfaced the per-night price on the sticky bar earlier in the flow.

Iteration 2

Date & guest selection was easy to miss. → Combined “Dates · Guests” into the search summary and made it a clear, tappable field.

Reflection & Next Steps

Leading with emotion and imagery — then letting filters follow — matched how people actually plan trips. And nothing built trust like an honest price shown early; transparency was a UX feature, not just a policy.

Next: saved wishlists & trip boards, map-based discovery, and flexible-date price views for spontaneous travelers like Nisha.
